Annie Quisenberry Shelton

   QUANAH — Annie Laura Quisenberry Shelton,  94, of Quanah, died on Monday, April 14, 2014 in Quanah. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., on Friday, April 18, 2014 at the Chapel at Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Monte Lumpkin officiating. Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Quanah.
   Shelton was born Dec. 22, 1919 to the late James Henry and Maude Mercer Wilkerson in Quanah.  She married Clebert Quisenberry June 26, 1937. He preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 1971. She married the late Johnny Shelton on Sept. 26, 1982. He preceded her in death in 2000. She was born and raised in Quanah and graduated from Quanah High School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, quilting and other seamstress work and gardening.
      She is survived by two sons, Wayland Quisenberry of Cynthiana, Ky., and Tony Quisenberry of Highland Village; five stepchildren, Sharon Fair of Abernathy, Pat Shelton of Odell, Genora Dunson of Weatherford, Holly Maire Winburn of Beeville and Cindy Snell of Lubbock; five brothers and sisters, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
   Family visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p. m., Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Smith Funeral Home.
