Rosa DeHoyos

   Funeral services for Rosa DeHoyos, 70 of Vernon, who died on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, in Vernon, will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Officiating will be Deacon Art Casias. Interment will be at Eastveiw Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
   DeHoyos was born Tuesday, March 28, 1944 in Sieper, La. She was the daughter of the late Andrew Diaz and the late Sanjuana Gamino Diaz. She married Pedro DeHoyos on Sept. 22, 1968 in Vernon. She worked for Vernon State Hospital retiring in 2007. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a homemaker.
   She is survived by her husband, Pedro DeHoyos of the home; three sons, Tony DeHoyos, Pedro DeHoyos and Juan DeHoyos, all of Vernon; one daughter, Linda Martinez of Vernon; four brothers, Claro Ferrales of Vernon, Jose Ferrales of Austin, Frank Diaz of Vernon and Juan Diaz of San Marcos; two sisters, Katy Patlan and Guadalupe Diaz, both of Vernon; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gilbert Diaz.
   Rosary will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 7, 2014 at Sullivan Funeral Home.
