Vana Rhea Lawson Tidwell of Granbury, 66, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 in Granbury.
Visitation: 2 – 4 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2015, Wiley’s Funeral Home.
Celebration of Life: Monday, May 18, 2015, 2 p.m. at Granbury First United Methodist Church.
Private burial will precede service.

Vana was born Sept. 10, 1948 in Dodge City, Kansas, to Herman and Glenda Lawson.
She married her soulmate, Jerry Tidwell, June 3, 1966 in Andrews.
Vana was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Vana graduated from Andrews High School. She worked at the Texas Christian University library while Jerry finished his degree.
Vana worked at the Hood County News for 21 years before retiring in 2000. She was an avid reader who also enjoyed knitting. She was a member of Granbury First United Methodist. Vana loved life, her family, dogs and traveling.
Vana dearly loved her grandchildren and always bragged about their accomplishments.
She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Lawson.
Survivors: Husband, Jerry Tidwell; daughter, Jamie Timmins; granddaughter, Kelsey Timmins; grandson, Tanner Timmins; son, Derek Tidwell and wife Lori – all of Granbury; mother, Glenda Lawson; brother, Darrell Lawson and wife Sally of Colorado; mother-in-law, Ruth Tidwell and sister-in-law, Sandee Houston, both of Pensacola, Florida.
