Lynelle Berg

   Memorial service for Lynelle Berg, 73, Vernon, Texas will be at Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel, Altus, Okla. on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 2 p.m.
   Ms. Berg died on May 21, 2015 south of Altus, Okla.
   Lynelle Berg was born to Henry Troy and Francis Jewell (Payne) Thompson in Altus, Okla. on May 8, 1942. She grew up in Altus and graduated from Altus High School in 1961 and was accepted to the St. Louis School of Music for Piano. She later received her Bachelors degree in education from Southwestern State University. She taught school in Dallas. She used to travel all across the country stopping at fairs and rodeos selling jewelry and trinkets. It was said that she could sell anything because she never met a stranger. She enjoyed getting dressed up to go out to the dance halls. She went to the Senior Citizens Center, Vernon, frequently for lunch. Lynelle loved her family and her Yorkies, Sassie, Cowboy and the late Sasha.
   Survivors include three daughters, Kimberly and husband Wade Mullican of Dill City, Okla., Deborah Morton of Ellijay, Georgia and Barbara Cothran of Vernon; six grandchildren, John Mullican, Shari Cook, Allison Morton, Ben Cothran, Samantha Cothran and Sheila Cothran; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Russell of New Hampshire; a sister-in-law, Joy Thompson of Altus; many nieces and nephews to include, Shelly O’Conner and Troy Kyle Madigan and many other relatives and friends.
   She was preceded in death by three husbands, Robert Maxwell, Harold D. Smith and Carl Berg, Jr.; a son-in-law, Floyd Morton; a brother-in-law, Jerry Russell and a brother, Don Thompson.
