Lighted Christmas Parade slated for Dec. 14

The 19th annual Vernon Lighted Christmas Parade is scheduled for December 14 at 6 p.m. with the traditional route planned to travel through downtown, around the courthouse square.

The Vernon High School marching band will play Christmas music. There will be floats, and decorated vehicles of all kinds festively lit up. Those include tractors, antiques, motorcycles, golfcarts, horses, and semis. Santa and Mrs. Claus are expected to cap off the parade, riding on a VFD fire truck.
