Candidate filing deadline is today

The deadline for filing to be placed on the ballot as a candidate for a seat on the Vernon City Commission, or Wilbarger General Hospital, is 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14.
Places 3 and 4 on the Vernon City Commission are up for election May 2. Place 3 incumbent Don Aydellot and Place 4 incumbent Dustin Fraticelli have both filed for reelection. Jason Goodrum has filed to run for the Place 4 seat on the commission and Adrian Esquivel filed Tuesday for Place 3.
Wilbarger General Hospital has three seats on the board of directors coming up for election, Places 4, 6 and 7. Place 6 incumbent Pam Caldwell and Place 7 incumbent Gene White have both filed for reelection. Dr. Reynaldo Tolentino has filed for Place 4.
