Gloria Kate Pate

   Gloria Kate Pate, 73, of Vernon, died on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 in Wichita Falls. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel.
   Pate was born on Feb. 1, 1941 in Vernon. She was the daughter of the late Marshall A. Nixon and the late Mattie Belle Anderson Nixon. She was the wife of Tom Pate. She had been a resident of Vernon for most of her life. She had lived in Virginia, Arizona and California before returning to Vernon in 1993. She was retired from North Texas State Hospital as an administrative supervisor.
   Survivors are her husband, Tom Pate of the home; four daughters, Marsha Newth of Abilene, Kathleen Froman of Windsor, Va., Charlie Wells of Vernon and Donna Pate of Vernon; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
   Family visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Friday, May 2, 2014 at the funeral home.
   Memorials may be made to the Rathgeber Hospitality House or the Audubon Society.
