Jerry Linden Logsdon, 71, of Vernon, died on Monday, June 23, 2014, in Vernon. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Toby Castleberry. Interment will be held at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Jerry was born Sunday, Jan. 17, 1943 in Vernon. He was the son of the late John Logsdon and the late Una B. Jordan Logsdon. He married Lynda Strickland on Nov. 24, 1964 in Vernon. He had lived in Vernon all of his life. He was a retired Oil Field Engineer from Amerada Hess. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a Baptist.
He is survived by one son, Greg Logsdon and wife Christi of Little Rock, Ark.; three daughters, Stacy Benish and husband, Randy of Vernon; Monica Tyra and husband, Lynn, of Vernon, and Michelle Moore and husband, Rodney, of Vernon; eight grandchildren, Tiffany, Courtney, Taylor, Paige, Katelynn, Natalie, Conner and Spencer, and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by infant son, Terry Scott Logsdon Oct. 16, 1965.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Sullivan Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls. The family will be at 4706 Cottonwood.
