Clifford Joe Weaver. 83, of Amarillo died on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014. Funeral services will be at 1 pm, Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Pastor Wendel Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter.
Clifford “Cliff” Joe Weaver was born on Nov. 3, 1931 in Vienna, La. to Roy and Dolly Weaver. Cliff proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean war. He married Elwanda Hart on December 10, 1952 in Plainview. Cliff worked as a foreman over the mill shop for Maywood doors for 25 years and then opened Weaver construction. He loved being outdoors farming. Cliff loved horses, old wagons and old cars and was a master carpenter and repairman. Cliff loved watching his grandchildren play sports but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Elwanda, a brother Clayton and a sister Lorene.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Weaver Phillips and husband Robert of Sanger, and Pamela Weaver Moran of Vernon; three sons, Clifford Todd Weaver and wife Debra of San Antonio, Chad “Slim” Weaver of Chickasha, Okla., and Brad Weaver and wife Robyn of Amarillo; a sister Pansy Spain of Corpus Christi; 14 grandchildren and 12 great -grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter.
