Harry Duane Jobes

   DECATUR – Harry Duane Jobes, age 68 of Boyd, passed away February 9, 2015 in Decatur, Texas.  He was born May 3, 1946 in Kerrville, Texas and was the fifth generation of a ranching family in Kimble and Gillespie Counties.  Duane had a lifelong interest in rodeo, horses and cattle.  His close friends knew him simply as “Cowboy”.
   Duane was preceded in death by his father, Noble Jobes and mother, Blanche Duderstadt Jobes. He is survived by his daughter, Angela Nicole Jobes, and her children Ethan, Loren and Luke Duncan; a loving companion, Sheri Brooks; and his brother, Harold D. Jobes and wife Cheryl.
   Visitation will be held in Decatur at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, February 11, 2015.  Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the Coker-Hawkins Chapel.
   Duane will be buried in Junction, Texas with a visitation to be held at the Kimble Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Friday, February 13, 2015.  A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the Junction City Cemetery.
   In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
