Marvin Edward White
HOLLIS, Okla. — Marvin Edward White died on Friday, March 20, 2015, in Hollis, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Harmon County Funeral Home in Hollis, Okla., with Joe Cantu officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery in Hollis. Services are under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home of Hollis.
White was born in Fannin County to John William and Mittie Lena White on Dec. 2, 1921. He moved to Harmon County, Okla. in 1927. He attended Opal and Elm Valley Schools. In 1945 he moved to Hollis, Okla., along with his parents. In 1953, he established White’s TV and Radio Repair Shop which he owned and operated until 2010. He played the guitar and sang with the Sunshine Band and several other local groups through the years.
He is survived by four nephews, and six nieces, including Verla Brumley of Vernon. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Charley, Frank, Roy, Elmer, and Homer White; and three sisters, Minnie, Eula, and Rommie.
