Edward L. Thomas

   Edward L. (Ed) Thomas, 62, of Vernon, died on Tuesday Aug. 25, 2015 in Vernon. Services will be held at a later date.
   Thomas was born on Nov. 17, 1952 in Tampa, Fla. He was the son of the late Edward Ellis Thomas and the late Barbara Lee Boxley. He had been the owner of Ed’s Video Warehouse in Vernon, Childress and Memphis, Texas. He had worked for the Texas Department of Corrections-Childress Prison as a shift manager. He had been the manager of the Vernon Pizza Hut and K-Bob’s for years. He had owned Silver Star Entertainment in the 1980s.
   Surviving are two daughters, Heather Thomas of Vernon and Heidi Arrington of Granbury; one brother, Michael Thomas of Jones, Okla.; two sisters, Sharon Fitzpatrick of Tampa, Fla., and Debra Rose Thomas of Jones, Okla.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by one grandchild, Racheal Jean Wiest.
