Glen Dacel Turner

   Glen Dacel Turner, 78 of Odell, died on Saturday, Sept. 5th in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 8h at the Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel in Vernon.  Officiating will be the Rev. Wallace Clay of the Odell Baptist Church. Interment will be at the Bell Cemetery in Odell.
   Turner was born on Sept. 28, 1936 in Vernon. He was the son of the
late Ed and Ardrine Turner. He married Loretta Neel on Oct. 23, 1953. She preceded him in death on Oct. 4, 1984. He married Sandy Johnston Lucas on Sept. 15, 1989.
   Turner was a 1953 graduate of Odell High School. He was a lifelong farmer
in the Odell Community. He worked for Wilbarger County for 46 years, including 28 years as County Commissioner. He was a member of the Odell Baptist Church serving as a deacon and church treasurer.
   He is survived by his wife Sandy of Odell, son Eddy Turner of Aurora, Colo., d
aughter Karen Skinner of Odell, and son Joby Lucas of Vernon seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
   Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., on Monday, Sept. 7 at Sullivan Funeral
Home in Vernon.
   Pallbearers will be Rodney Johnston, Kress Walker, Pat Shelton, Kelly Neel, Clint
Turner and Joby Lucas. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Arnold, Lenville Morris, Travis Maddin, Ray Phillips, and Frank Froelich.
   Memorials may be made to the Odell Baptist Church.
