Sue Koch, 82 of Vernon, died on Monday, Sept. 7, 2015, in Vernon. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015 at the Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Susan Edmonds. Interment will be held at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Koch was born Saturday, Sept. 10, 1932 in Megargel. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Edmond Walston and the late Betty Jane Nichols Walston. She married Rudolph Koch on June 1, 1950 in Vernon. She was a graduate of Oklaunion High School, Vernon College and Midwestern State University, where she received her Master’s Degree in Education. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. She was a retired teacher for Vernon ISD.
She is survived by her husband, Rudolph Koch of the home; two daughters, Charlotte Kruger of Lockhart and Sherl Cayce of Vernon; one brother, Carl Waltson of Graford; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Roger Dale Koch in 2006,and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015 at Sullivan Funeral Home.
