Niconora Valverde

   Niconora Valverde, 70 of Vernon, died on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, in Vernon. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 11, 2015 at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
   Valverde was born Thursday, Jan. 11, 1945 in Rosebud. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Ramirez and the late Dominga Ramirez. She worked for Haynes Harvesting as a cook.
   She is survived by two sons, Tony Valverde and Phillip Valverde, both of Vernon; three brothers, Pete Ramirez of Vernon, Sam Ramirez of Vernon and Tom Ramirez of Chillicothe; one sister, Maria Ortega of Vernon; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
   Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Thursday, Sept.  10, 2015 at Sullivan Funeral Home.
