Jackie Earldine Borchardt
CROWELL – Jackie Earldine Borchardt, 90, of Crowell, died on Friday, Sept. 25, 2015 in Vernon. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 28, 2015, in the First Christian Church in Crowell with the Rev. Gerald McLain, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Crowell Cemetery under direction of Womack-Manard Funeral Home.
Borchardt was born on July 15, 1925 in Blossom, a daughter of the late John Rufus and Gertrude Rogers Shannon. She married Fred Riley Borchardt on July 10, 1043 in Crowell.
She was a longtime resident of Crowell. She graduated from Vernon High School at the age of 16 and began working for Southwestern Bell Telephone in Vernon and in Crowell. She also worked in the unemployment office in Vernon and at the A.S.C.S. office in Crowell. She also worked at the Foard County Sheriff’s Office for 20 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Pam Eavenson of Crowell; one son, Don Ray Borchardt of Crowell; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 29, 1981, one son, James Riley Borchardt on May 23, 2005; five sisters and six brothers. Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, Sept. 28, at Womack-Manard Funeral Home in Crowell.
