Claudia Mae Jackson

   Our beloved Claudia Mae Jackson went to be with our heavenly father Monday, Sept. 28, 2014. Claudia was born June 26, 1937 in Honeygrove, TX to parents Ira Lee Claudrick and Eloise Reynolds both of whom preceded her in death, along with her husband Theopres “Cooter” Jackson; aister, Gloria Jean Lewis and brother, Ira (Bug) Lee Claudrick Jr.
   Services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015 at The First Baptist Church with Rev. James Callins officiating.  Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
   Claudia graduated from Douglas High School of Quanah. Claudia married Theopres “Cooter” Jackson on July 27, 1970 and was married to him for many years. Claudia worked in their family business for many years and the Quanah Nursing Home for 25 years. Claudia was a very faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church where she served as a chairperson of the Building Funds Committee.
   She leaves to cherish her precious memories her four children: one daughter Norma Woods of Amarillo, three sons Gerald and wife Dorothy Jackson, Larry and wife Louise Jackson both of Quanah; Virgil and wife Eugenia Claudrick of Amarillo; two step-children, Tricia Dubose of Fort Worth and Glenn Moore of Wichita Falls;  two brothers, Charles Claudrick of Nacogdoches and Roy Claudrick of Amarillo; one sister, Mary Iris Thrower of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great- great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
   There will be a wake from 7 p.m., to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, 2015 at the Chapel at Smith Funeral Home.
