Michelle Barnes Arrant Murray died on Wednesday, Sept. 23, in Dallas. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, at Sullivan Funeral Home. A wake will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 2, 2015 at Sullivan Funeral Home.
Murray was born Nov. 24, 1969, a daughter of Rosemary Bates and the late Brack West. She was later adopted by the late Mack and Kathryn Arrant. She married Micheal Murray on Sept. 21, 2001. She was employed at Vernon Health Care Center and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. In 2015, she moved to Dallas.
She is survived by her husband, Micheal Murray; her mother, Rosemary Bates of McKinney; four daughters, Wendi Arrant of Dallas, Lakesha Bay of Fort Worth, Lamesha Bay of Fort Worth and Crystal Owens of Vernon; three sons, Davente Bay of Arlington, Reshoid Lawton of McKinney and Sharoid Lawton of McKinney; four sisters, Barbara Taylor of McKinney, Linda Glover of McKinney, Claudia Taylor of Slaton and Lashelle Well of Lubbock; seven brothers, Roger Well of Lubbock, Melvin Wynne of Dallas, David Barnes of McKinney, Vernon Arrant of South Carolina, Floyd Arrant of Vernon, Andrew Ladd of Dallas and Marvin Wynne of Lubbock as well as other brothers and sisters; 17 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her fathers, Mack Arrant and Brack West; her mother, Kathryn Arrant; her grandmother, Hattie Mae Willbourn, and her brother, Alfred Rae Arrant.
