Nolan Glenn Tole
Funeral services for Nolan Glenn Tole, 70, of Crowell, who died on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015 in Crowell, will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 19, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Crowell. Officiating will be the Rev. Damon Stalvey, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Crowell, assisted by the Rev. Ken Rowland of Crowell. Interment will be in the Crowell Cemetery under the direction of Womack-Manard Funeral Home.
Nolan was born on July 20, 1945, a son of the late Leonard Nolan and Ina Louise Hopkins Tole. He married Mary Jo Glover on March 25, 1978 in Crowell. He was a longtime resident of Crowell and a 1963 graduate of Crowell High School. He had formerly lived in Dallas, Quanah, and Clinton, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Crowell Church of Christ. He served as Staff Sergeant for the National Guard.
As he was a well known knife maker, the family requests any person receiving a knife made by Nolan to please wear it to the funeral service, as a tribute to him.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Tole of Crowell; three sons, Jeffrey Nolan Tole of Crowell, Shane Popwell and wife, Dawn of Wellington, and Eric Nolan Tole of Wichita Falls; one grandson, Christopher Lawrence Tole of Margaret; two granddaughters, Shanee Marie Tole Popwell of Wellington and Chloe Jo Tole of Iowa Park; one sister, Vickie Dunham of Crowell, and one brother, Gary Tole of Vernon. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Don Tole on June 13, 1975.
Visitation will be from 6 pm. To 7 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015, at Womack-Manard Funeral Home in Crowell.
