Clyde Norman Crisp
Clyde Norman Crisp, 83 of Plano, Texas died on Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, in Plano. Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015 at 2 p.m., at Sullivan Funeral Home. Officiating will be Dave Winn. Interment will be held at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Clyde was born Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1931 in Fargo, Texas. He was the son of the late Garland Clyde Crisp and the late Doris Emma Bullman Crisp. He married Bennie Lou Hopkins on Feb. 22, 1953 in Yuma, Ariz. She preceded him in death on Aug. 27, 1998. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1954 during the Korea War. He was a former member of First Baptist Church in Fargo, Texas. He was a contractor for the Federal Government living in Hawaii, Marshall Island. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50 years.
He is survived by his son, Jon Charles Crisp of Plano; his daughter, Jan Crisp Hammel of Charlotte, N.C.’ his granddaughter, Kristin Hammel Johnson; two great-grandchildren, Alexander and Leopold, and his brother, Charlie Crisp of Houston.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; a son, Michael Norman Crisp, and his sister Emma Mae Gray.
