Joyce Hays

   Funeral services for Joyce Hays will be Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015 at 2 p.m., in the Heartland Chapel Early, Texas. Interment will follow at Rock Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.at the funeral home.
   Mrs. Hays passed away in a San Angelo hospital after a short illness.  She was born on Oct. 28, 1948 in Vernon, Texas to R.D. and Bobbie McDuff.  She married Ronnie Hays on May 21, 1966 in Oklaunion, Texas. She was a Baptist, loved animals, had a green thumb that could grow anything.  Joyce loved her family, never met a stranger and had a smile that could light up the world.
   She is survived by her husband Ronnie Hays of Blanket, Texas; her daughter, Kadena and husband Oscar Downes of Zephyr, Texas; her son, Ron and wife Kim Hays of Vernon, Texas.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tanner Downes, Colten Hays, Gunnar Hays, Katelyn Fouse, and Krista Hays. Joyce  is survived by her mother, Bobbie Jean McDuff of Vernon; two brothers, Richard and wife Sara McDuff of Lampasas, Texas, and Mike and wife Trish McDuff of Hewitt, Texas; one sister, Cheryl and husband Sid Mason of Vernon, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, R.D. McDuff, and one sister-in-law, Lanita McDuff.
   The family request everyone attending Joyce’s services to wear blue, her favorite color.  Heartland Funeral Home Early, Texas is in charge of arrangements.
