Leona B. “Nook” Letcher

   Funeral services for Leona B. “Nook” Letcher, 92 of Vernon, who died on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, in Vernon will be held Friday, Dec. 4, 2015 at 1 p.m., at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. John Little of Bowie. Interment will be held at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
   Letcher was born on Saturday, June 30, 1923 in Vernon. She was the daughter of the late Jerry Lamar Fry and the late Adelia Barbara Ann Frazier Fry. She married Robert Letcher on July 23, 2005 in Amarillo. She was a member of United Pentecostal Church, and she was a homemaker.
   She is survived by her husband, Robert Letcher of the home; five sons, Jerry Howery of Burleson, Gene Howery of Vernon, Calvin Howery of Amarillo, Larry Coharst of Dallas, Bobby Gene Letcher of Bakersfield, Calif.; one adopted daughter, Barbara Reeves of Marietta, Okla.; three sisters, Essie Shirley of Bowie, Roberta Barker of Duncan, Okla., and Lillie Barker of Bowie, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Howery and Gleneth Howery; two daughters, Della Ann Howery and Sharon Leona Howery; four brothers, Odist Fry, Oscar Fry, Gene Fry and J.L. Fry, and one sister, Emma Fay Morrison.
   Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Sullivan Funeral Home.
   Memorials can be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
