Anna Laura Eavenson

   CROWELL – Anna Laura Eavenson, 86, of Crowell, died on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, in Crowell. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015, at the First Baptist Church in Crowell with the Rev. Ron Fox of Vernon and the Rev. Chris McLain of Crowell officiating. Interment wil be in the Crowell Cemetery under the direction of Womack-Manard Funeral Home.
   Eavenson was born on April 17, 1929 in Margaret, a daughter of the late Coy and Eula May Hagar Payne. She married Beattie Joe Eavenson on March 29, 1947 in Crowell. She was a longtime resident of Thalia. She was a 1947 graduate of Crowell High School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the 42 Club. She was a longtime employee for the Crowell I.S.D. cafeteria.
   She is survived by two daughters, Rea Gina Mints of Paducah and Rosanna Lea Edwards of Crowell; one son, Ricky Eavenson of Crowell; one sister, Mary Helen Young of Abilene; one brother, Kenneth Payne of Waxahachie; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband on June 11, 1989, and one son, Ronald Eavenson on Feb. 26, 2006.
   Memorials may be made to the Veterans Memorial Wall, Crowell,  or PTCO at the Crowell School.
