Don Richard morton

   QUANAH – Don Richard Morton, 87, of Quanah, died on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, in Vernon. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015 at the Chapel at Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Hollinshead officiating.
   Morton was born Nov. 3, 1928 to the late William David and Hazel Sellers Morton. He married Ida Laverne Morton on Oct. 10, 1950 in Vernon. She preceded him in death in 2012.  He worked in construction and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was a fisherman and domino player being a part of the domino club in Quanah.
   He is survived by three daughters, Cheryl Ann Rogers of Quanah, Susan Diane Butler of Childress and Dortha Joann Green of Quanah; three sons, Stevie Don Morton of Quanah, Ricky Lynn Morton of Wellington and Dwane Richard Morton of Quanah; 18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Jerry, Billy, Jackie and Ken Morton; one son, Jimmy Bob Morton; a granddaughter, Amy Elizabeth Rogers and a great-granddaughter, Jordan Hall.
   Memorials may be sent to the State Park and the lunch program at the First Baptist Church.
   Family visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015 at the First Baptist Church.
