Ruby G. Keeler Gunning, 70 of Vernon, died on Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, in Wichita Falls. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015 at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Toby Castleberry and Rev. Ron Fox. A visitation will be held at 3 p.m. following the service until 6 p.m., at Sullivan Funeral Home.
Gunning was born Wednesday, Feb. 14, 1945 in Vernon. She was the daughter of the late George Keeler and the late Myrtle Hampton Keeler. She had lived in Vernon most of her life. She was a self-employed beautician for over 50 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church..
She is survived by her son, Michael Gunning of Ponder, and her daughter, Carrie Gunning of Ponder; three brothers, Bill Keeler of Benbrook, George Keeler of Vernon, and Paul Keeler of Electra; two sisters, Elsie Rutledge of Vernon, and Stella Burk of Vernon. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Thurman Keeler, Frank Keeler and Garland (Skinny) Keeler, and three sisters, Faye Glenn, Maudie Christian and Mary Phillips.
