James William Green

   QUANAH – James William Green, 65, formerly of Quanah, died on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, in Dallas.  Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 18, 2015 at The Chapel at Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Quanah.
   Green was born Nov. 18, 1950 to the late William J.P. (Bill) Green and Ada Lucille Green in Quanah. He worked as a buyer in the oil field industry. He graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Services in 1970, working in Childress, Wichita Falls and Stamford. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cromwell, Okla.
   He is survived by his mother, Ada Lucille Green of Quanah; his wife, Jo Ann Green of Lancaster; two daughters, Shelley Canon of Lancaster, and Amanda Green of McKinney; a stepdaughter, Natalie Lovewell of Cromwell, Okla.; three brothers, Rick Green of Wichita Falls; Billy Green and Charles Green, both of Quanah, and five grandchildren.
   Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Thursday at Smith Funeral Home.
   Memorials may be made to The First Baptist Church, Quanah.
