Charlie Walker Jr., 81 of Vernon, died on Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, in Vernon. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, at Sullivan Funeral Home.
Walker was born on Thursday, March 8, 1934 in Vernon. He was the son of the late Charlie Walker Sr. and the late Clairce Lyles Walker. He married Perry Triplett on Nov. 6, 1971 in Vernon. He had served in the Army for two years and was in the reserves for eight years in the Infantry division. He had been a resident of Vernon for all of his life. He had worked at the Waggoner Ranch as a dozier operator and as a truck driver for Crown Quality.
Surviving are his wife, Perry Walker of the home; three sons, Clint Walker, Wesley Walker and Brent Walker, all of Cortez, Colo., one daughter, Bonnie Walker of Vernon; eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
