Danny Donald McRae

   Danny Donald McRae, 71 died on Friday, Dec. 18, 2015 in Vernon. Funeral services will be held on at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 21, 2015 at the Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Fox and Rev. Roy Moody officiating. Interment will follow at Wilbarger Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
   Danny was born on Dec. 30, 1943 in Vernon.  He was the son of the late Foy McRae and the late Jewel Broadus McRae. He married Susan Grant in May of 1964 in Lockett. He was a graduate of Crowell High School in 1962. He then attended Vernon College where he received an Associate’s Degree in 1974. He had served in the U.S. Air Force. He loved antique tractors and had restored many. He was a member of the Western Trail Cowboy Church and was a retired farmer.
   Surviving is his wife, Susan McRae of the home; three sons, Kenny McRae and wife Amber of Holiday, Joey Gentry and wife Heather of Lubbock, and Stephen Gentry and wife Laurie Ann of Fort Polk, La.; one daughter, Dana Cunningham of Lubbock; two brothers, Tommy McRae of Crowell, and Bruce McRae of Denver, Colo.; five granddaughters, five grandsons, and one great-grandson.
   He was preceded in death by a daughter, Andrea Gwen McRae, and two sisters, Ruth Gentry and Patsy Rettig.
   Pallbearers will be Travis Cato, Terry Cato, Andy Borchardt, Ricky Eavenson, Denton Ray Worley and George Howell.
   Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Sunday Dec. 20, 2015 at the funeral home.
