Mary Lynette Belcher
QUANAH – Mary Lynette Belcher, 53, of Quanah, died on Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, in Quanah. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at The First Christian Church with Rev. Wayne Hollinshead officiating. Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Belcher was born on Feb. 27, 1962 in Quanah to Floyd Wayne Belcher and the late Patricia Podrovitz Belcher. She was a graduate of the Vernon Nursing Program and later worked in Chillicothe, Quanah, and Amarillo Hospitals as an LVN. She was a lifetime resident of Quanah and a member of the First Christian Church.
She is survived by her father, Floyd Wayne Belcher of Quanah; one brother, James Belcher of Quanah; three sisters, Gina Denham of Quanah, Belinda Belcher of Quanah and Jan Guzman of Texarkana, Ark.; three nieces, three nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother in 2009 and a brother, Floyd Wayne Belcher Jr. in 2011.
Family visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2016 at Smith Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Quanah and the Lupus Foundation.
