Jere Eugene Esbenshade

   Jere Eugene Esbenshade, 85 of Vernon, died on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015, in Vernon. Services were held on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016 at Dallas VA Cemetery.
   Esbenshade was born on Saturday, Dec. 13, 1930 in Lancaster, Pa. He was the son of the late Daniel Esbenshade and the late Marty Shriner Esbenshade. He married Loretta Witherspoon on March 6, 1956 in Bastrop.  He served in the United States Air Force for  11 years as a sergeant during the Korean War and served in Japan.
   He is survived by his wife Loretta Esbenshade of the home; two daughters, Ginger King of Vernon and Cathy Foshee of Marshall; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Roger Esbenshade.
