Frances Baker

 

   Frances Baker, 77 of Vernon, died on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016, in Vernon. Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 8, 2016 at 2 p.m., at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Ron Fox. Interment will be at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
   Baker was born on Sunday, Jan. 15, 1939 in Quanah. She was the daughter of the late William L. (Willie) Swanson and the late Hattie Knight Swanson. She was married to Kenneth W. Baker, and he preceded her in death in 1983. She had lived in Vernon for most of her life. She was a long time pharmacy clerk at Gibson’s Pharmacy/Family Pharmacy. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and attended church at Western Trail Cowboy Church. She was a homemaker.
   She is survived by two sons, Dennis Baker and Nickey F. Baker, both of Vernon; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, E. Ramone (R.B.) Baker in 1985 and two sisters, Billie Jo and Nelda.
   Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Sullivan Funeral Home.
   Memorials can be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
