QUANAH – Cora Lewis, 92, of Quanah, died on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016, in Quanah. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 12, 2016 at 4 p.m., at The Chapel at Smith Funeral Home, Quanah with Rev. Wayne Hollinshead officiating. Interment will be held at Quanah Memorial Park under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Quanah.
Lewis was born on Jan. 12, 1924 to the late William Zeb and Annie Dithula Ritchie in Quanah. She married Tom Lewis on Jan. 28, 1940 in Quanah. He preceded her in death on March 14, 1998. She was employed at the Cap Factory in both Quanah and Crowell. She was the owner and operator of Tom’s Café in Quanah. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Betty Guzman of Quanah; one son, Michael Lewis of Houston; four grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Frances Heath of Wichita Falls.
Family Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016 at Smith Funeral Home.
