Chillicothe city council approves audit, discusses economic development

CHILLICOTHE – Chillicothe city council members unanimously approved the city’s 2017-2018 audit report during a monthly business meeting Monday.
The audit report was presented by Denise Foster of Quanah accounting firm Foster and Lambert. She said the firm gave the city a “good opinion” in its report which showed the city had net assets of $1,171,170 and a revenue increase of $54,268 compared to the previous year. However, the city had overbudgeted on street repair projects, a situation that Foster suggested could be resolved through passage of budget amendments.
