Big turnout in election; Thornberry wins reelection

Forty-two percent of Wilbarger County voters cast a ballot during this year’s general election.

Congressman Mac Thornberry (TX-13) won reelection for Texas’s 13th Congressional District. He received 80.8 percent of the vote in Wilbarger County.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to represent the people of the 13thDistrict of Texas in Congress. I appreciate the trust you have placed in me, and I will do all I can to give you and our country my best, Thornberry said. “I will continue to work to support our military in every way possible and to keep our country moving in the right direction.”

His comments came to late to be included in the Record’s election recap.
