Area athletes receive District 16-A girls basketball honors

The District 16-A girls all-district team has been announced.
Area players selected for the All-District First Team were Lyndzie Disbrow of Chillicothe, Kelly Carroll and Tara Manney of Crowell and Hailey Teague of Northside.
Named to the All-District second team were Paig Moya and Kinley Moore of Crowell, Miranda Perkins of Chillicothe and Alexis Matute of Harrold. Callie Humphrey of Crowell was named as Newcomer of the Year.

All Academic
Players from several area high schools were named to the District 16-A All-Academic Team.
Five players from Harrold were named to the team including Alexis Matute, Gabby Patterson, Andi Mcwilliams, Alexus Key, Kodi Streit and Ashley Streit.
Named to team from Northside were Chloe Brooks and Lindsey Sawin.
Five players from Chillicothe were named to the team including Miranda Perkins, Lyndzie Disbrow, Brianna Pautsky, Jazman Vidaurri and Jimenna Sanchez.
Nine players from Crowell were named to the team. They included Bridget Cargill, Callie Humphrey, Paig Moya, Dezirey Patterson, Serenity Williams, Kyla Sheets, Kinley Moore, Tara Manney and Kelly Carroll.
Also named to the All Academic Team were eight players from Munday. They included Carlie Willison, Emily Scott, Madison Thompson, McKenna Sanderson, Trinity Rodriguez, Maddy Mendoza, Ashia Swearengin and Allie Willison.
