Clyde Daniel Conway

Clyde Daniel Conway, 83 of Vernon, Texas died on
Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022, in Vernon, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022, at
2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Derrell
Monday and Mike Klappenbach officiating. Interment
will be at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of
Sullivan Funeral Home.
Clyde was born on Monday, Feb. 6, 1939 in Lockett,
Texas. He was the son of the late Eldrid Conway and the
late Ruby Roberts Conway. He married Mary Ann
Martin on Nov. 7, 1959 in Vernon, Texas. Mary Ann
passed away on Feb. 26, 2020. Clyde was known as “The
Rabbit Man”. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Clyde is survived by two sons, Ricky Conway and wife Margie of Georgia, and
Danny Conway and wife Cheryl of Georgia; two daughters, Lea Ann Skinner of
Vernon, Texas, and Chrissie Straley and husband Dave of Kentucky: sister, Ruth
Kendrick; grandchildren, Renee Driscoll of Houston, Texas; Daniel Conway and
wife Amanda of Monticello, Georgia; Ashley Campbell and wife Tiffany of
Chicago, Illinois; Chad Conway of Newnan, Georgia; Heather Duke and husband
Steve of Pine Mountain, Georgia; Kris Pilcher of Atlanta, Georgia; Scott Straley
and wife Perri of Little Elm, Texas and Ty King of Wichita Falls, Texas; greatgrandchildren,
Hannah and Berlyn Driscoll; Drake, Cale and Blayne Conway;
Paxton and Ryker Campbell; Olivia, Matthew and Hayley Duke.
Clyde is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Conway; parents, Eldrid and
Ruby Conway, and brother, Lyndon Conway.
Visitation was Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Sullivan
Funeral Home.
