Michael Kameron Hooker
Michael Kameron Hooker, 20 of Vernon, Texas
passed away on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023 in Lubbock,
Texas.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 17,
2023 at 12 p.m. at First Methodist Church with
Rev. Anthony Inman o൶ ciating. Interment was at
Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of
Sullivan Funeral Home.
Kameron was born Monday, Aug. 12, 2002 in
Wichita Falls, Texas. He was the son of Lynn Hooker
and Bethany Gee Hooker. He was a member of First
Methodist Church. Kameron was a student and a
cowboy. He was attending South Plains College.
Kameron graduated from Northside High School in 2021. He loved the outdoor
life, hunting, going to the lake, and sur¿ ng behind the boat. He was also a very
good cook. Horses were Kameron’s passion. He loved doing leather work,
cowboying, and he loved music. He enjoyed and loved his big circle of friends.
Kameron was a joy to all that met him with his big smile.
Kameron is survived by his parents, Lynn and Bethany Hooker of Vernon;
brother, Kaden Hooker of Vernon, Texas; sister, Kloe Hooker of Vernon,
Texas; grandparents, Larry and Shelley Gee of Vernon, Texas, Linda Shivers of
Vernon, Texas and Bill McBroom of Vernon, Texas; great-grandparents, George
and Lujuana Daigle of Vernon, Texas; great-great-grandparents, Sue and Jack
Hanley of Vernon, Texas, Mary Ann and Nelson Warden of Vernon, Texas, Larry
Smith of Vernon, Texas, and Jan Gee of Dallas, Texas; a host of aunts, uncles,
and cousins. Kameron also leaves behind his girlfriend, Savanna Jones and
her parents, Ashley and Cody Jones, and brother Hagan Jones, all of Seymour,
Texas.
Kameron is preceded in death by his brother, Tanner Alaniz, grandparents,
Mike Hooker, Donnie Warden, and Bobby Shivers.

Hooker Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Waggoner National Bank.
