Ruth Ann Branstetter Wilson

Ruth Ann Branstetter Wilson, 74 of Vernon, Texas
passed away on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023, in Wichita
Falls, Texas.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023
at 2 p.m. at the Wilbarger Street Church of Christ
with Wayne Robbins officiating. Burial followed at
Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of
Sullivan Funeral Home.
Ann was born Saturday, Oct. 16, 1948 in Hartville,
Missouri to the late Homer and the late Buela
Branstetter. Ann married Joe Dale Wilson on June 2,
1967. Ann was a graduate of San Angelo State
University. Ann taught at Northside School for 27
years. She taught a variety of classes including key
boarding, accounting, Spanish and yearbook. She was
a member of Fargo Church of Christ.
Ann leaves behind her husband Joe Dale Wilson and her ¿ ve children: Denny
and wife Robyn Wilson of Odessa, Texas, Amy and husband Eric Hardesty of
Lubbock, Texas, James and wife Ti൵ any Wilson of Batesville, MS, Joel and wife
Ashleigh Wilson of Mustang, Okla., and Dana and husband Jason Merrell of
Andrews, Texas.
Ann has 17 grandchildren: Patrick Wilson, Bradley Wilson, Anthony Wilson,
Brittany Hilton, Brooke Scott, Samantha Wilson, Julianna Hardesty, Brenna
Wilson, Elizabeth Hardesty, Jordan Wilson, Brayden Wilson, Levi Wilson,
Blake Merrell, Beckett Wilson, Addilyn Merrell, Jennings Wilson, and Makenna
Merrell. She also has nine great-grandchildren: Kaleb Wilson, Madelyn Wilson,
Kynslee Wilson, Emma Wilson, Maren Wilson, Kaylee Wilson, Bryce Wilson,
Holden Hilton, and Ella Wilson. Ann has two brothers and four sisters: Darlene
McMillion and husband Cleve, Jerry Branstetter and wife Carlene, Johnnie
Branstetter and wife Shirley, Helen Coltrane and husband Truman, Irene Rogers,
and Beverly Williams and husband Gary.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Johnnie Branstetter,
brother-in-law Truman Coltrane and great-granddaughter Maren Wilson.
Visitation was held Monday at Sullivan Funeral Home.
Memorials can be made to the Fargo Church of Christ for the Venezuela
mission work.
