Dolores Franks Caldwell
Dolores Franks Caldwell, 88 of Vernon, Texas passed
away on Friday, June 9, 2023, after a lengthy illness with
Alzheimer’s Disease.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 12, 2023 at
2 p.m. at the Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
Toby Castleberry o ciating. Burial followed at Eastview
Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Dolores was born Monday, August 13, 1934 in Lockett
Community. She was the daughter of the late John and
Lummie Dee Allen Franks. Dolores married James Jansa
in Vernon in 1951 at Calvary Baptist Church. They had
three children, Carla Jansa Legates and husband Bob
of Snyder, Okla., Steve Jansa and wife Judy of Vernon,
Texas, and Susan Jansa of Oro no, ID. She later married
Herman Dean Caldwell. Dolores has three grandchildren, Becky Gerald and
husband Paul of Vernon, Texas, Blake Jansa and wife Katy of Waco, Texas, and
Shane Jansa and wife Courtney of Vernon, Texas. She also leaves behind twelve
great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, along with several nieces
and a nephew.
Dolores worked at Osbornes in Vernon as a bookkeeper, she also worked in the
probation department at the Wilbarger County Courthouse and owned and operated
The Flower Boutique for over twenty years. She retired in 2004. Dolores loved
Elvis Presley, Las Vegas, Bingo and gambling. She enjoyed spending time with her
family and friends. Her family is blessed to have had her in their lives for 88 years.
She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Dolores is preceded in death by her parents John Franks and Lummie Dee Allen
Franks, a sister Carolyn Hrncirik, a brother Carl Franks, a grandson Judd Frith and
husband Dean Caldwell.
In lieu of owers the family request donations be made to the Wilbarger Humane
Society.
Visitation was held Monday, June 12, 2023 from 1 p.m. until service time.
