Bacon City USA Festival set to sizzle on Saturday

The second annual Bacon City USA Festival will take over downtown Vernon Saturday, Oct. 21, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Live entertainment will be presented from 11 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. on the Wright Pavilion Stage. Performers will include Southern Weather, The Flynns, Blaine Gillespie Band, Already Goners and The Bourbon Prophets.
The Festival will be hosting a Food Truck Challenge with cash prizes for unique dishes made with bacon. Nineteen food trucks are currently expected to be on site at the Festival from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
At 7 p.m. Josh Ward will perform live on the Bacon Strip Stage, followed by the featured performer, Casey Donahew at 8:30 p.m. Be sure to bring your chairs and enjoy lots of free entertainment during the Festival.
