Jeff Case named Texas Investigator of the Year

Jeff Case has been named Texas’s Investigator of the Year. Case was presented the Texas District and County Attorneys Association Chuck Dennis Investigator of the Year award last Wednesday at the 2025 Investigators Conference, held at the Texas A&M Convention Center in College Station.
“Jeff is an invaluable asset not only to the DA’s office but also to law enforcement agencies throughout the district and beyond. This recognition is very well-deserved,” said Wilbarger County Attorney.
Case was recognized for nearly 30 years of law enforcement experience, including 18 as the local DA investigator for the 46th Judicial District.
In nominating Case, Heatly provided details of Case’s work and success on investigations and wrote, “Case embodies the highest standards of honesty, dedication, and professionalism. He is respected across our three counties and beyond. His tireless work ethic, trustworthy character, and

unwavering dedication to justice make him an exemplary candidate for the Chuck Dennis Investigator of the Year Award. I am confident that his service and contributions to Texas law enforcement merit this recognition.
“Our district covers three counties, some with law enforcement agencies as small as one officer. Jeff has been a dependable resource for every agency in our jurisdiction, often fielding calls in the middle of the night to provide guidance or respond to active scenes. His collaboration with federal agencies like the FBI, ATF, and DEA on complex, multi-jurisdictional investigations, as well as his constant collaboration with DPS CID and the Texas Rangers, speaks to the trust and respect he has earned across agencies, both state and federal. He is known for providing accurate, reliable information and putting in the hard work required to achieve results.”
