Odell man killed in Clay County Crash
The Texas Department of Transportation has released details of a Clay County fatality crash in April. William Hardman, 63 of Odell, was identified on May 14 as the deceased driver.

Injury Information: Pronounced deceased on the scene due to injuries sustained during the crash.
Description: Preliminary investigation revealed that Vehicle 1 was traveling northwest on FM 2606 around a sharp left curve. The driver failed to control his speed and failed to negotiate the curve. Vehicle 1 went off the roadway on the right side. The driver attempted to correct to the left and went into a side skid in the soft wet grass. Vehicle 1 then continued and struck a tree. The driver was pronounced deceased on the scene. The Justice of the Peace ordered an autopsy to identify the driver through the Dallas Medical Examiner’s Office.
