Special Vernon City Commission Meeting Set June 8 to Consider Sale of Water

A special meeting of the Vernon City Commission will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday, June 8, at city hall to discuss, consider and take possible action on three items.

The three action items on the agenda include a water contract with Platon Investments LLC. The contract, if approved, would be for the sale of city water to Platon. The second item to be considered is a cost reimbursement agreement with Platon Investments LLC. The third item to be considered is a right of way easement with the County of Wilbarger for a water supply line to deliver water for Platon from the city’s water system to the data center site near Oklaunion.
