Michael Lee Vaughn,
age 66, passed away on
Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024
after a lengthy illness in
Arlington, Texas.
Mike was born Aug. 9,
1958 in Vernon, Texas to
parents, David Leroy Vaughn
and Annie Vaughn. He had
lived in Vernon all his life
until a few months ago. He
attended Vernon Schools. He
was a member of First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers
Keith Andrew, Mark and Steven and sisters Marsha
Dee and Debi, a nephew, a niece and a great-great
niece.
He is survived by his son Michael Paul Vaughn, a
brother David Ray (Amy) Vaughn, and sister Beverly
(David) Ham all of Vernon, Texas. A grandson,
Matthew (Yarleen) Vaughn, great-grandsons Liam
and Marion and a great-granddaughter Yarlyn.
Several nieces and nephews. His best friend, Ricky
Boyd, who he often referred to as his “Brother.”
A gravesite memorial will be held at East View
Cemetery at a later date.
