Lady Hornets advance to state title game
The Harrold Lady Hornets have advanced to the UIL Class A State volleyball Tournament’s championship game, for the second straight year. Harrold swept the three games of the Regional Tourney in Midlothian, winning all nine sets they played, finishing with the title on Saturday over Saint Jo.
On Tuesday the Lady Hornets faced off with Bronte, in a rematch of last year’s state semifinal which the Lady Hornets won in four sets. The Lady Hornets duplicated the win Tuesday, beating Bronte in four sets, winning 21-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-18. This is the second straight season the Lady Hornets have advanced to state. Harrold lost to Blum in the state championship game last season. With six seniors, the Lady Hornets are hoping to cash in with a state title.

Harrold will face Neches in the state title game. Neches beat Round Top-Carmine in Tuesday’s other semifinal.
The state championship game will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland.
