Joy Fern Dann

   Joy Fern Dann, 83 of Vernon, died on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, in Wichita Falls.
   A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 24, 2014 at Fargo United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Irl Holt. Services are under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
   Dann was born Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1931 in Mena, Ark. She was the daughter of the late Fed B. Garrison and the late Iona McCauley Garrison. She married John G. Dann on Dec. 7, 1951 in Okla. City, Okla. He preceded her in death on June 19, 1979. She had lived in Vernon for 15 years. She was a graduate of Enid Business School. She was the church secretary at Gulfway Baptist Church in Houston. She was a foster parent for many years and she was a member of Fargo United Methodist Church.
   She is survived by one son, Carl Dann of Mexico, Maine; two daughters, Silvia J. Dann of De Queen, Ark., and Suzanne Loos of Monticello, Ky.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
