Larry O. Smith

   Larry O Smith, 69 of Vernon, died on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, in Vernon. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Chad Neibert and Rev. Toby Castleberry. Services are under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
   Smith was born Sunday, March 19, 1944 in Flint, Mich. He was the son of the late Marion R. Smith and the late Zella Hesser Smith. He married Judy Turkett on April 2, 1964 in Vernon. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 12 years as Tech Sgt. Aircraft Mechanic. He served in Vietnam. He was a member of Electra Masonic Lodge, Past Worshipful Master and Knights Templar in Electra. He was a Baptist.
   He is survived by his wife, Judy Smith of the home; two daughters, Tammie Bell of Harrold and Cristina Neibert of Leavenworth, Kan.; four brothers, Les Smith of Michigan, Gery Smith of Michigan, Floyd Smith of Holland, Ohio and Edward Smith of Jonesborough, Tenn., 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
   Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Sullivan Funeral Home.
   Memorials can be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
