Amos Howard Austin

   Graveside services for Amos Howard Austin, age 81, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at South Liberty Cemetery with Rev. Paul Pogue officiating.  There will be no formal visitation.
   Honorary pallbearer will be Christopher Austin Vaughan, Logan Michael Vaughan, Zachary Ryan Vaughan and Jim Horton.
   Mr. Austin passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at his residence.  Mr. Austin was born on Feb. 6, 1933 in Harrisburg, Ark., the son of Lincoln and Mattie (Lowe) Austin.  He married Peggy Cook on July 11, 1953 in Jonesboro, Ark.  She preceded him in death.
   Mr. Austin was an executive with Wright Brand Packing where he retired.  He was a member of New Beginnings Fellowship Church.
   Mr. Austin is survived by his daughter, Vickie Vaughan and husband Mike of Sulphur Springs; grandsons, Christopher Austin Vaughan and wife Rochelle of Shreveport, La., Logan Michael Vaughan and wife Whitney of Sulphur Springs, and Zachary Ryan Vaughan and wifeTaylor of Little Rock, Ark.; great-grandchildren, Madeline Vaughan, Patton Vaughan, Mireya Vaughan, Kiley Vaughan and Aven Vaughan.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Omer Austin; sister,  Gladys DeBoard.
   Memorials may be made to Fruitful Harvest Ministry at New Beginnings Fellowship Church, 155 N. Jackson Street, Sulphur Springs, TX  75482.
