Bill Omar Allen

   QUANAH – Bill Omar Allen, 85, of Quanah, died on Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 in Crowell. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at The Chapel at Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Monte Lumpkin officiating.  Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park under the direction of Smith Funeral Home
   Allen was born Oct. 10, 1928 to the late Joseph Ed and Laura Gracey Allen in Star Valley Community, Texas.  He married Patsy Duvoll on June 28, 1952 in Quanah. He was a resident most of his life in the Hardeman County area. He worked for Georgia Pacific for 42 years until retirement.  He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
   He is survived by: his wife,  Patsy Allen of McKinney; one son, Kip Allen of McKinney; two grandchildren and one great-grandson.
   Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2014 at Smith Funeral Home.
