Bonnie Fay Fryar

   Bonnie Fay Fryar, 81 of Vernon, died on Monday, March 3, 2014, in Vernon. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, March 7, 2014 at Beasley-Wood Funeral Home Chapel in Mena, Ark. under the arrangement of Sullivan Funeral Home, Vernon. Officiating will be Rev. Roger Bishop. Interment will be held at Foster Cemetery.
   Fryar was born Monday, Oct. 10, 1932 in Caddo, Okla. She was the daughter of the late John French and the late Naomi Fay Roberts French. She married I.V. Fryar in 1950. He preceded her in death in 1998. She had lived in Vernon for the past six years, moving here from Mena, Ark. She had worked for 20 years at Queen Wilhelmina State Park in Mena, Ark. She was a member of the Concord Baptist Church where she was baptized on Feb. 16, 1997.
   She is survived by four daughters, Mary Davis of Mena, Ark., Dottie Davis of Booneville, Ark., Goldie Voelkel of Vernon and Fay Frachiseur of Grannis, Ark.; three sons, Russell Fryar of Mena, Ark., I.V. Fryar, Jr. of Mena, Ark., and  William Fryar of Mena, Ark.; one brother, Johnny Ray French of Willcox, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Ray Fryar, and two sisters Ladella Allison and Doris Stratton.
   Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
   Memorials can be made to Alternative Program at Wilbarger General Hospital.
